Ltd: The Beginning |
|
In
1972, Wynn Henderson and Jennie Acree were at Hilton Head and decided to
visit a gallery where those seashell necklaces you used to see everywhere
were being sold. The owner asked if anybody in Atlanta could make them,
so the two women, both housewives at the time, decided to take a shot at
it.
After
nine months, the orders were becoming more sophisticated, and they wanted
to continue to create their own designs, but had to send the jewelry out
to be made. Don Montgomery was the man behind the manufacturing of Mrs.
Henderson's and Mrs. Acree's designs.

"We
decided that if we were going to really make a go of it, it would have
to be a class act. We needed somebody with fabulous craftsmanship, because
you just can't turn over wonderful stones to someone who has no imagination.
We knew that Don was our man," said Mrs. Henderson..
Finally,
in March of 1990, the three creative minds joined forces, and the rest
is history.
